Happy Spring Everyone! We're only 16 days until the Toronto Screenwriting Conference. Thanks to all of you who have already registered, we're excited to share with you what is shaping up to be a very exciting weekend of creative inspiration and screenwriting education. This past Monday, we announced three new speakers.
Butch Hartman, the creator and executive producer of Nickelodeon’s mega-hit animated series THE FAIRLY ODDPARENTS, and part of the team behind the international hit sci-fi series SANCTUARY, creator, writer & executive producer, Damian Kindler, along with director & executive producer, Martin Wood.
Along with these awesome announcements, it's time to play that game again. Guess our next speaker! We're going to give you one BIG hint:
Our newest speaker is responsible for creating a certain hollywood list. This list is an annual ranking of the year's best unproduced scripts. Many of these scripts on this list have been subsequently produced; Oscar winners Juno and There Will Be Blood are alums, as well as critically acclaimed films such as The Road, Zombieland, and Lars and the Real Girl. You can get google-ing now, because we'll be announcing this speaker tomorrow.

As writers, we all know how difficult it is to overcome writer's block. Pen Densham, who will be speaking at the TSC 2011, has some great tips on how to beat the block. You can find those tips in his book Riding The Alligator, at his TSC 2011 session, or in this great interview.
